When looking at the ways that technology has sifted over the years, the Monster Hunter series is a prime example of a series that has taken advantage of advancements and pushes every device that it produces for to their very limits. As discussed in the blog numerous monsters are the size of mountains or skyscrapers and it takes a large amount of processing power or system exploits in order to make these types of on-screen monsters occur. Through advancements in technology both on the outside and in house, Capcom develops new ways to expand the level of detail in each monster and environment while also getting rid of limitations that restrict movement and traversal through the game’s maps. From the constraints of one area being loaded at a time with loading screens in between to fully immersive and traversable maps this series has mad changes for the best that allows it to become a favorite of many.

The level of detail in this game seems amazing. It reminds me of Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. That game has fabulous detail down to one blade of grass.
Do you think at some point technology will become so advanced that even games such as this will seem so real players will think it’s real life?
